Winter Birch Cowl by Louise Tilbrook

This cosy textured cowl uses just 1 x 100g skein of DK weight yarn (worsted would also work on 4.5mm needles) to create a single loop-sized cowl. Perfect for stopping chilly draughts on colder days.
The cowl starts with a provisional cast on and the textured, 2st cable pattern is worked flat, with the live sts being grafted together at the end.

MATERIALS:

1 x 100g Cat & Sparrow Superhero DK, 225m/246 yds per 100g. Colourway Heart of Gold.

4 mm needles - either circular or straight.

1 x 100g DK gives a cowl long enough to form a single loop around the neck.

GAUGE: 22 stitches in 10cm/4" in stocking stitch, blocked.
