Summer Wool Show Spindle Workshop - 30/31 July 2023

These workshop will run at the Summer Wool Show at Redborne School in Ampthill on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 July between 10.30-12.

The workshop will include use of a spindle (with the option to purchase it afterwards for an additional £19.50), as well as the fibres we will be using. 

It's a beginners' workshop, so we'll be covering:

• Staple length and fibre type
• Twist and what it does
  
• Getting started by making a leader
  
• Spinning techniques, including park and draft
  
• Winding on
  
• Troubleshooting
• Plying (in brief)

I aim to give you all the information and support you need to be able to go and spin your own amazing yarns. 

Cost of the workshop is £15.
