Giverny - Romney/polwarth/mohair
Giverny - Romney/polwarth/mohair
Colourway
Giverny is a stunning colourway that makes me think of Monet's waterlillies at his beautiful garden at Giverny. Apple green, soft sea-glass blue and pale stone contrast with splashes of royal purple. Delightful.
50% Kent Romney/25% Polwarth/25% kid mohair
This blend of three of my favourite fibres is an absolute winner. It has poofy softness from the Polwarth, silkiness from the fine Romney and strength from the supersoft mohair. Romney and mohair both take dye with a beautiful intensity that is offset by the softening effect of the Polwarth. It's perfect for socks and mitts as it's really hardwearing, as well as warm and soft. It drafts beautifully and spins up into a yarn that is pill-resistant with a gentle halo.
