Gelato - Alpaca/Seacell/Silk

This colourway is inspired by the gorgeous pastel colours of real Italian gelato - delicate mint, pale mango, raspberry and lavender.  They play so well together, they'll make the most beautiful yarn.

60% alpaca/20% seacell/20% tussah silk.

This blend of fibres is a super soft and fluffy mix of alpaca, silk and seacell, which is great for those fibre lovers who are allergic to wool.

Seacell is derived from sustainably sourced seaweed, and is purported to have beneficial qualities for the skin by way of transfer of nutrients. It's soft, silky and a delight to spin.

Alpaca fibre is hollow, which makes it light and extremely warm.  It has no elasticity, and so unlike wool will not spring back into shape after washing, making it perfect for drapey, flowing garments such as shawls and scarves.  The addition of silk adds strength and sheen to this lovely blend.
