This combed Romney top is beautifully lustrous, with a staple length of around 5-6 inches. It takes colour with a gorgeous clarity. It has a lovely open hand (ideal for beginner spinners) and bags of character. It’s a beautifully fine wool, with a micron count of between 30 and 36. I find I can wear it next to my skin, particularly for mittens – the feel of the wool is just lovely on my hands. However, it might not be soft enough for sensitive skin. It works beautifully for sweaters, socks, and hats. It also felts very well.
Tulip Fever is a gorgeous mix of soft, pale gold, brick red, deep peach and fawn.
Each braid weighs approximately 100g.
