Corriedale is such a joy to work with. It’s next-to-skin soft, has loads of texture and elasticity, and blended with Bluefaced Leicester it makes a deliciously soft and squooshy yarn. These two wools have been blended with peduncle silk, which is made from the stiff stem of the silkworm cocoon. It has the most unusual texture – silky, but slightly rough, with a beautiful sheen and drape. It’s naturally a soft brown colour, with bronze undertones.
Brown is a criminally underrated colour, in my opinion as a brunette. This is a wonderful blend of browns, ranging from rich chocolate, through coffee to a gorgeous foxy rust. Spun up, this has extraordinary depth of colour and the chocolate really comes through. It’s a sophisticated treat.
Each braid weighs approximately 100g.
